NUESTROWORLD is a satirical solo exhibition by Brooklyn-based artist Jesus Benavente, conceived of as a visual album and immersive “amusement park.” This project features interconnected works unfolding across the gallery and city, collectively highlighting Houston’s cyclical history of ambition, folly, and heartbreak.

In conjunction with the world premiere of Overflow Radio in Mni Sóta Makoce (Minneapolis), DiverseWorks hosts an Overflow Radio: Šakotayišol Nunuš Constellation here in Houston. Over 24 non-consecutive hours, we will gather in-person to listen to twelve First Nations and Indigenous authors, poets, and scholars live-broadcasting from their home territories and First Nations.

Architects of Myths is a two-person exhibition featuring the works of Farima Fooladi and Ruhee Maknojia that explores how their painting practices can build new perspectives that shape society, offering alternative interpretations to contemporary issues by looking at historical events and ancient folklore.

A multidisciplinary exhibition of newly commissioned works by Hong Hong, consisting of a four-channel video installation, sculpture, and performance. These projects engage with movement, language, and history, exploring Angel Island through nonlinear storytelling and embodied research.
